Where: Lee Valley Park
When: Sunday 22nd August 2010, AM
What: Well over 100 enthusiastic volunteers descended on Lee Valley Park, ignoring the horrendous weather forecast! Volunteers cleared tonnes of vegetation from the walls of a Victorian water works. Everyone worked really hard contributing to a really fun atmosphere as we fought through brambles, nettles, trees and bugs!
Funniest Moment: Some of the banks were very steep, and one chivalrous boyfriend kept his partner safe by taking off his belt and wrapping it around her waist as she reached to tug away some unwanted foliage; the ingenuity was appreciated by all!
Thanks to all who Gave their 4 hours! Don't forget to check out the photos from your project, here, and stay tuned for exclusive gig info, here!
